20170302 – CPSC Recall of One World Technologies Ryobi Electric Blowers..

In cooperation with the CPSC and Health Canada, One World Technologies is recalling 121,000 Ryobi Electric Jet Fan Blowers. (1,900 were sold in Canada and 1,100 were sold in Mexico) The recall indicates that the plastic fan inside the blower can break causing the fan blades to be discharged from either end of the blower tube, posing a laceration hazard. Sold from December 2015 through December 2016, One World has received 10,681 reports of incidents, including 25 reports of minor injuries, such as lacerations to the face, hands and legs from fan blade pieces being discharged from either end of the blower. No property damage has been reported. The jet fan blowers were eligible to bear the cULus Mark.
