20151119 – CPSC Recall of Bostitch Electric Pencil Sharpeners, Recall Release 16-041

CPSC and Amax Inc. announced the recall of 44,000 Bostitch electric pencil sharpeners. The recall indicates that electric components inside can energize the pencil sharpener, posing a shock hazard. Amax Inc. has received one report of a consumer who received a shock from the recalled electric pencil sharpener. The units recalled were eligible to bear the cULus Mark.
