20150721 – CPSC Announces Recall of Acorn Stair Lifts & Circo Night Lights..

Acorn Stair Lifts Recall – In cooperation with the CPSC, Acorn Mobility Services Ltd. is recalling 34,000 of their motorized stair lifts due to a fall hazard.  The stair lifts seat post can separate from the main seat support, posing a fall hazard to users.  Acorn received two reports where the seat post separated from the main seat support and resulted in deaths in the United Kingdom.  There have been no reports of incidents or injuries in the United States. The motorized stair lift has been confirmed as CULus Listed.

Circo Nightlights Recall – In cooperation with the CPSC and Health Canada, Target stores is recalling 143,000 Circo Nightlights.  The battery in the nightlight can overheat and cause the nightlight to melt, posing a fire hazard.  The assembly includes an AC adapter.  The nightlights have been confirmed as CULus Listed.
